Welcome

This is the complete study package for Statistical Techniques for Research Methodology — five modules that walk you through the entire research pipeline: foundations of research, survey methodology and data collection, processing and analysis of data, questionnaire design and fieldwork, and report writing and presentation. Each concept has two worked examples.

Pre-requisite: Statistical Methods for correlation, regression, and chi-square. Inferential Statistics for estimation and hypothesis testing. Sampling Techniques for sample design, stratification, and cluster sampling.

Course Outcomes

  1. Understand the meaning, objectives, and types of research.
  2. Familiarise with real-time data collection through surveys and sampling designs.
  3. Process and analyse data using appropriate statistical techniques.
  4. Design questionnaires, collect survey data, and draw valid inferences.
  5. Prepare and present research reports in a professional format.
