Who writes it
The material is written and maintained by StatsTricks360 (called NRSTATLAB until October 2026). It is free to read, needs no sign-in, and works on a phone.
How the material is written
Four rules, applied to every page:
- Every step is shown. No “clearly” or “it follows that” standing in for a step. Proofs name the tool each line uses; problems show the setup, the substitution and the arithmetic.
- Examples, not just results. Worked examples throughout, and at least two per concept in the exam material — the answer always ends with what it actually means.
- The code runs. Lab programs are real source in C, Python, SQL and R, checked by compiling and running them rather than by reading them.
- Gaps are stated. Where a syllabus omits something the exam still asks, it is covered and flagged. Where something was not verified, that is said plainly instead of hidden.
Examination details
The rule on this site is that a page states the marks, duration, pattern or eligibility of an examination only when the figure comes from an official document, and names that document. The syllabus maps reproduce each syllabus line as it is prescribed, point it at the page that teaches it, and grade how deeply that page covers it — the lines this site does not yet teach are listed, not hidden.
Notifications change. Always confirm the details of an examination against its current official notice before you rely on them. If you find a page that breaks this rule, please report it.
Report an error
Corrections are welcome and are the fastest way this material gets better. Open an issue on the repository and include:
- the address of the page;
- the passage, formula or answer that is wrong;
- what you believe it should say, and why — a reference helps.
Opening an issue needs a free GitHub account. The same address is the place to ask for permission beyond the licence below.
Licence
Copyright © 2026 StatsTricks360. Every page, note, lab program, dataset and script is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International Licence (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). The published legal code governs; in plain terms:
- You may read, print, download, share and adapt it, and use it while teaching, including in a classroom.
- You must credit StatsTricks360 and say where you got it, say if you changed anything, and release anything you build from it under this same licence.
- You may not sell it or anything substantially made from it, put it behind a paywall, a login or a paid course, use it to promote a paid service, or present it as your own work.
One exception: the documents reproduced for reference — the four PDFs in the Data
Science section’s docs/ folder, and in docs/sources/ the UGC
NET Bureau’s Statistics (code 107) syllabus and the APPSC Paper-II question papers of
29 April 2025 and 4 November 2022, whose questions the solved papers reproduce — remain the documents of
the body that published them, and this licence does not cover them. The worked solutions are
this site’s own and are covered.
Privacy
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, tracking or advertising scripts. Pages that show formulas load the MathJax typesetting library from the jsDelivr content network, and a handful of web-technology lessons load an example library the lesson is about. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which, like any web host, may keep ordinary request logs; GitHub’s own privacy statement covers those.
If you mark units done, that is remembered in your own browser’s storage (below) and is never sent anywhere.
Your progress
Unit pages have a Mark this unit done button, course pages count what you have finished, and the home page offers the last page you were reading. All of it is kept in this browser, on this device, and nowhere else: it is not sent to StatsTricks360 or to anyone, and it does not follow you to another phone or computer. There are no accounts on this site, so nothing can be synced.
Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it, and so does the button below. With scripts turned off, none of this appears and every page reads as normal.
